Anybody interested in supporting arts and culture in Zanzibar can, for a small fee, join the Emerson’s Zanzibar Foundation, a membership organisation.
Membership starts from just 50,000 Tzs, with suggested annual contributions of US$100 for international members and US$50 for Tanzania residents. You can also support specific projects through financial or in‑kind donations. These will all be used to further the causes of the Foundation helping creatives in visual arts, music, film making and literacy.
As a member, you gain invitations to Foundation events, direct connections with artists and partners, voting rights at the AGM, eligibility for board or team roles, regular updates, and generous discounts at Emerson hotels and restaurants.

We are very transparent on what the impact is. We send out regular newsletters and also produce a annual impact report.
The annual impact report, you will receive as member of the foundation, includes a financial report. Besides that, the respected board of trustees will oversee that the foundation is heading towards the right direction.
